POP-ART/PSYCHEDELIC ABSTRACT: UNIQUE, MOUNTED/SIGNED, LIMITED EDITION MUSIC ARTIST VISUAL “CRIMSON”

This auction is for one - number 9 - of a limited-edition series of 50 mounted and signed prints of a unique pop-art, or psychedelic, hand-drawn abstract which, in this case, is dedicated to the progressively creative talents of King Crimson whose name is just about visible in amongst the patterns, etc. that make up this drawing.

Also blended in - and in several cases quite discreetly - are the names of the group’s first line-up, plus a few album and concert song titles from that period. The auction winner will receive a list of all names, etc.. featured in the drawing.

Measuring a visible 9 ¾” x 7 ¾” and drawn using fibre-tip, metallic and gel-tip pens, this visual explores the abstract intensity and effects created through the close but uncoordinated intermingling of a wide range of, often strong, colours using regular and irregular shapes, lines and patterns (with complete disregard for specific symmetry or asymmetry) and how this can create a vision of intriguing imagery that is open to the individual viewer’s interpretation as to what, if anything, it depicts.

Despite its random nature, this drawing - like several others, also currently available, by this artist - has an indentity which comes from the way it was started and, in this case, that was by setting out the name of an admired music performer/act (i.e. Tull) across the page and then overlaying it with several large shapes before then adding the small patterns, shapes, etc. that give the drawing its abstract appearance.

This completely original visual is one of a limited edition printing of just 50, each of which comes mounted, numbered and signed by the artist (see sample second photo - not necessarily of this drawing - of what the delivered item will look like) plus selling date and, as mentioned above, accompanied by details of any names, etc..concealed in the abstract.

I accept payment via PayPal ONLY, so a PayPal account is required for you to bid and, as I require payment to be completed within 4 days of auction close, you MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS in your (Paypal) account at the time of the auction closing, because payment by e-cheque - the way Paypal makes payments when there are insufficient funds to make an instant payment - will not usually arrive within the 4 days I allow. Please do not ask me to make an exception in your case as I no longer respond to these requests and have made my payment preferences clear at the start of this paragraph.

You may bid on multiple auctions ending on different days if the last auction ends seven days or less after the first. If you are bidding or want to bid on more than one of my auctions, please let me know after you win the first item/auction, so I know to delay sending your invoice until you tell me that you have finished bidding, You may pay for items at any time, but if you win multiple items you must then ensure that you complete full payment for them within four days of my sending the final invoice.                   If payment is not received within the specified time and via the payment method I have specified, the item may go to the next highest bidder or be relisted. If appropriate I will file non-paying bidder alerts with Ebay in order to recover my final value fees & will block that bidder from my future auctions and - if payment is only received as a result of my filing non-paying bidder - I will not accept a return or offer a refund if you subsequently have a complaint.

POSTAGE & SHIPPING

Postage rates are specified on each auction. (Not advised, but parcel post and surface mail rates are avaiIable if desired-please ask). I always weigh items for postage costs, and allow a bit extra for the packaging. I put a lot of effort and care into packaging, and often use custom, cut to fit sturdy cardboard, tubes, etc.. that has given excellent delivery results over the past 6 years. I will be happy to combine multiple purchases and hopefully be able to reduce the postage costs on your total. Royal Mail includes compensation cover (insurance) free on values currently up to £40 and, in some circumstances. I may add insurance on items over that amount for my own protection and yours.

I now normally ship twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays (if a holiday then the following day). Your package will usually be posted no later than the first Monday or Thursday following payment, and I shall notify you when it has been mailed.

Also blended in - and in several cases quite discreetly - are the (first) names of a handful of the musicians who worked with him in the early 1970s, plus a few song titles from that period. The auction winner will receive a list of all names, etc.. featured in the drawing.
