Offered here is a Wonderful Original Oil Painting.

This is signed and dated by the artist to the bottom left hand corner.

This features a stunning LANDSCAPE of the village of Paull on The River Humber near to Hull in The County of East Yorkshire .

This has a wonderful hint of impressionism and the colours are fabulous .

The signature reads R.H. THORNE "62" for 1962.

This is framed in a simple 1960s period frame and this was the original frame.

The picture is extremely well executed with good perspective.It is full of detail and many figures walking along the promenade on the foreshore in front of the lighthouse.

There are a number of ships and cranes in the background on the jettys in the Humber.

This is a must have for anyone interested in local history especially the maritime and shipping history on the River and the fishing port of Hull.

This lighthouse warned the ships entering the Humber of the hazards of this River. .

The entire piece measures over 21.5 inches x 17.5 inches , and the actual painting measures 20 inches x 16 inches.

It is in excellent condition and the signature is clearly visible . It is ready to hang on your wall as they say.

This will suit a contemporary or period interior and will proove to be an excellent investment.

Your canvas will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and recycled cardboard packaging.

Parcels are dispatched by overnight courier, so you would receive your artwork on the next working day. If you would prefer your artwork to be delivered on a Saturday this can be arranged for £20.

Canvases available in stock will be shipped immediately on the same or next business day, after receiving full cleared payment.

On commission orders, please allow 7-10 working days to allow for perfection and thorough drying time of all the layers etc. An e-mail will be sent to you confirming once posted.

If you live outside the UK mainland and are interested in purchasing one of my canvases, please contact me for a postage quotation.

If you are not completely happy with your art work, returns are accepted within 14 days.

Each canvas is original (no two pieces are ever exactly the same) and fully hand-painted by Yorkshire Artist, Kerry Bowler.

Premium quality acrylics and other materials are always used. Paint is always continued around the sides and a non yellowing artists glaze is applied as a final touch for enhancement and protection.

Boxed canvases (usually Winsor & Newton) are used i.e - Canvases whereby the canvas fabric is stretched over a wooden frame. This means that all canvases are ready to hang when you receive them, without the need for a frame!

All canvases are signed and dated on the reverse.

About Us

All artwork for Colour on canvas is designed and created by owner artist, Kerry Bowler. All work is fully hand-painted in her quiet home based studio.

Following a further education in art and design, Kerry has been working as a professional artist for the last 5 years and has sold paintings in galleries, local shops and restaurants, art shows throughout Yorkshire, as well as through the internet.

Kerry is more than happy to take on commissions, so if you like a canvas but would like it in other colours or another size, or simply want something to match your wall paper or fabrics etc, we would love to hear from you.
